【摘要】:Thistestmethodcanbeusedtodeterminespecification,orregulatorycompliancetorequirements,fortotalsulfuringaseousfuels.Ingasprocessingplants,sulfurcanbeacontaminantandmustberemovedbeforegasisintroducedintogaspipelines.Inpetrochemicalplants,sulfurisapoisonformanycatalystsandmustbereducedtoacceptablelevels,usuallyintherangefrom0.01to1ppm/v.Thistestmethodmayalsobeusedasaquality-controltoolforsulfurdeterminationinfinishedproducts,suchaspropane,butane,ethane,andethylene.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofsulfurgaseousfuelsintherangefrom0.001to20partspermillionbyvolume(ppm/v).1.2Thistestmethodmaybeextendedtohigherconcentrationbydilution.Thisstandardmayinvolvehazardousmaterials,operations,andequipment.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcernsassociatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Specificprecautionarystatementsaregivenin6.7,6.8,and7.3.
